This report synthesizes interviews with 127 opportunity youth ages 18 to 29 conducted as part of the Generation Work project. These young adults share their experiences disengaging from traditional education pathways and reconnecting with workforce development and career pathways programs. Their perspectives and ideas are informing future priorities for the Road Map Project’s opportunity youth action teams, and have implications for the effective design of education and employment systems that dismantle persistent inequities and meet the needs of young adults.
