The importance of relationships and community ties was made clearer than ever, last year. Through the pandemic, networks in Renton and Tukwila leaned on each other, pivoted quickly to support their communities, and saw that place-based work means understanding and trusting communities know what they need to thrive.
This report highlights community and school partner perspectives, and examples of community-based networks in action last year. It also shares lessons learned from the second year of collective impact work in the Renton School District and the first year of building networks in Tukwila. Learn how, through intentional relationship building, schools, families, and community-based organizations can work collectively to support students in the early years of their education.
