¿Cuál es aquella importante lección de vida que usted quisiera que su hijo (o aquella persona importante en su vida) aprendiera antes de llegar a la edad adulta?
What is the most important lesson you want your children or other young people in your life to learn before adulthood?
La leccion de vida que quiero que mi hija aprenda antes de que sea un adulto es que tomar buenas desiciones en la vida y esforsarse para lograr sus metas es importantees, que las reglas y valores de respeto, solidadridad, tolerancia, empatia y gratitude entre otros que le ensenamos en casa es por que las amamos y queremos que se convierta en una ciudadana de buen character moral, que tartar a las personas como le gustaria ser tratada es muy importante tambie.
The life lesson that I want my daughter to learn before she is an adult is that making good decisions in life and striving to achieve her goals is important, that the rules and values of respect, solidarity, tolerance, empathy, and gratitude among others that we teach here at home is because we love them and want her to become a citizen of good moral character, that treating people how they would like to be treated is very important too.

Why is this work for our children and our community so important to you?
Yo consider que este trabajo es muy importante para nuestros hijos y nuestra comunidad por que es absolutamente necesario tener representacion y voz para apoyar a nuestros hijos resivan servicio de calidad en el Sistema educativo.
I consider that this work is very important for our children and our community because it is necessary to have representation and voice to support our children to receive quality service in the educational system.

Where do you lead/serve in the community?
En los grupos de liderazgo donde facilito y participo, tambaien en mi trabajo en las escuelas y en la comunidad. Mis Colaboradores son Sistema Escolar USA, El Comite, Neighborhood House, Lelo, Green River community College, Round Table, Alma (amigas Latinas acariciando el Alma ) que es un programa de la Universidad de Washington, con algunos de estos colaboradores soy voluntaria y con otros, son colaboradores con los que encuentro y comparto la informacion acerca de experiencias con familias, apoyo comunitario y el Sistema educativo.
In the leadership groups where I facilitate and participate, also in my work in schools and the community. My Collaborators are Sistema Escolar USA, El Comite, Neighborhood House, Lelo, Green River Community College, Round Table, Alma (Latin friends caressing the Soul), which is a program of the University of Washington, with some of these collaborators I am a volunteer and with others, they are collaborators with whom I find and share information about experiences with families, community support and the educational system.
De que manera COVID-19 ha cambiado su dia a dia en la crianza y educación de sus hijos?
How has COVID-19 changed your everyday parenting and education?
COVID-19 a cambiado las rutinas dia a dia y a sido un proceso de adaptacion por que ahora trabajo desde casa y mi hija toma las clases en casa tambien, es dificil hacer las dos cosas trabajar a la vez que apoyo a mi hija en sus clases, tambien es una rutina muy dificil fisicamente por el echo de estar por muchas horas sentada.
With COVID-19 the routines have changed from day to day and it has been an adaptation process because now I work from home and my daughter takes classes at home too, it is difficult to do both work while supporting my daughter in her classes, it is also a very difficult routine physically due to sitting for many hours.
Que ha aprendido como padre sobre sus hijos y su familia en esta pandemia?
What have you learned as a parent about your children and family in this pandemic?
Durante la pandemic como padre he aprendido lo dificil que es para mi hija las clases en linea y que la interaccion es muy importante, pero que tambien es possible encontrar maneras de que aprendan cosas importantes para el Desarrollo personal para su futuro ademas de la instruccion educative.
During the pandemic as a parent I have learned how difficult online classes are for my daughter and that interaction is very important, but that it is also possible to find ways for them to learn important things for personal development for their future in addition to educational instruction.
De qué manera la falta de interacción personal ha afectado a sus familias en lo que respecta a la educación y la vida familiar?
Has the lack of person to person interaction affected your family in regards to education and family life?
La falta de interaccion personal a afectado mucho a mi familia, especialmente a mi hija ya que es una adolecente y se deprime estando sola en casa sin interactuar con otros jovenes.
The lack of personal interaction has greatly affected my family, especially my daughter since she is a teenager and gets depressed being alone at home without interacting with other young people.
Ahora que sus hijos están en casa aprendiendo a distancia, siente más respeto o simpatía por los maestros?
Now that your children are at home doing remote learning, do you have a newfound respect for teachers?
Yo siempre he tenido respeto por los maestros de mi hija pero ahora que mi hija esta aprendiendo en casa y que a mi como maestra tambien me a tocado trabajar en linea, definitivamente tengo mas simpatia y gratitude por sus maestros.
I have always had respect for my daughter’s teachers but now that my daughter is learning at home and that as a teacher I have also had to work online, I have more sympathy and gratitude for her teachers.
Qué papel han jugado el racismo y la inequidad en su educación?
What part has racism and inequity played in your education?
El racismo y la inequidad an jugado un gran papel en la educacion de mi hija ya que existen polisas que la afectan por ser persona de color y siento que no resive las mismas oportunidades que otros ninos.
Racism and Inequality have played a great role in my daughter’s education since there are policies that affect her because she is a person of color and I feel that she does not receive the same opportunities as other children.
¿Quién fue su maestro favorito o cuál fue su película favorita con la que usted creció y por qué?
Who was your favorite teacher or movie growing up and why?
Yo no Recuerdo haber tenido un maestro favorito en mi nines, pero si tunbe un abuelito a quien yo admiraba y respetaba y lo consider mi mentor.
I do not remember having a favorite teacher as a child, but I did have a grandfather whom I admired and respected and considered him my mentor.
