Miriam Karamoko

Executive Assistant
Community Center for Education Results

Miriam provides support to CCER’s Executive Director Mary Jean Ryan and to CCER’s senior leadership. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience from Western Washington University, where she conducted research on racial prejudice, discrimination, and intergroup relations. She coauthored a manuscript in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships and continues to do investigations on topics of racism. Her passion to work directly with underrepresented students deepened through her role at the Center for Education, Equity, and Diversity at WWU, where she supported the academic success of communities of color and LGBTQ+ communities through mentorship and counseling developments. Miriam is excited to explore the Road Map Project region and find new favorite places.
