Community Center for Education Results

Miriam develops, implements, and monitors strategies that promote racial equity impact at CCER. They graduated with their bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience from Western Washington University (WWU), where they conducted research on racial prejudice, discrimination, and intergroup relations. Miriam coauthored a manuscript published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships and continues to do investigations on topics of racism. Their passion to work with underrepresented students deepened through their role at the Center for Education, Equity, and Diversity at WWU, where they supported the academic success of communities of color and LGBTQ+ communities through mentorship and counseling developments. Miriam loves the many beautiful parks and museums that the Road Map Project region offers.
