The Road Map Project Data Advisors Group is a multisector learning community of education researchers and data administrators from local governments, King County and Washington State government, as well as various community-based organizations, local colleges, and each of the seven Road Map Project school districts. The Data Advisors Group is open-membership and volunteer-based. We meet every other month to share best practices, challenges, and policies impacting the region’s children and youth with a focus on equity in data reporting and analysis. Our group provides technical expertise as well as institutional knowledge.
Past topics of discussion include attendance data quality; student discipline methodologies and data quality challenges; measuring racial inequity in local systems; equity-focused initiatives in the Road Map Project region; ecological systems theory and systems indicators; Black male achievement collaborative research; student grade history file and challenges to measuring rigorous coursetaking; calculating and reporting achievement and opportunity gaps; reporting data using a racial equity lens; and more.
