Education Program Manager
Nimco Bulale staffs the Road Map Project’s English Language Learner Work Group on behalf of OneAmerica. She also leads the Speak Your Language campaign and its movement to honor home languages and bilingualism in schools and communities. She is passionate about closing the achievement gap in education, empowering refugee and immigrant communities, and breaking down the systemic barriers to opportunity. Nimco was born in Mogadishu, Somalia and raised in Seattle. Nimco is fluent in Somali, English and Spanish. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of Washington and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University. During her free time, Nimco enjoys discovering new coffee shops, and The Station in Beacon Hill is her favorite!
