Jeanina Messerly

Antiracist Abundance Curator
Community Center for Education Results

Jeanina developed a passion for educational equity in early childhood, where they had the fortune of receiving active support from their community to become the first generation in their family to receive a BA. They graduated with an English degree from Buena Vista University, with a focus on postsecondary education. Prior to CCER, Jeanina spent 8 years fighting for racial justice in public policy and local elections through the power of community organizing. They understand deeply that everyone has a voice and the work resides in dismantling the power imbalance and investing directly into our Black and Brown communities so their voices can be amplified, supported, and celebrated. You can find Jeanina around Seattle either performing stand up comedy or trying not to fall off their paddleboard.
